Rhizome elongate, creeping and rooting along its length or more frequently erect and shrubby and rooting mainly in the basal part, sometimes thin and pendulous.

Pseudobulbs distant, usually of a few internodes of which only the upper one is swollen, usually laterally flattened, sometimes highly reduced and slightly swollen, one-leaved at apex.

Leaves not sheathing at base.

Inflorescence one-flowered, from apex of pseudobulb, or laterally just below apex, or both.

Flowers ephemeral; mentum well-developed but not spur-like.

Labellum flexibly attached to apex of column foot, sometimes adnate to column foot, usually distinctly trilobed, usually with lamellate and often wavy keels.

Pseudobulbs 4x1cm, linear-oblong, fusiform, green or yellow. flattened laterally, yellowish or dirty brownish green, ribbed when mature
Leaf single 10–11.5 × 2–2.5 cm, sessile, oblong–elliptic, obtuse, arising from the tip of pseudobulb
Inflorescence one flowered, from apex of pseudobulb.
Flower 2cm across, white pedicellate bracteate, lasting for few hours; ovary with pedicel 11 mm long. Bracts 4 mm long, oblong–lanceolate.
Bracts 5x4mm, semi amplexicaul, oblong lanceolate
Sepals & Petals similar, somewhat fleshy, white, tinged with yellow at the base & apex , oblong, acute or obtuse;
Sepals similar 10-12x4-5mm, faintly 5-nerved.
Petals 10x3mm, smaller & narrow, faintly 3 nerved, subfalcate
Mentum 5 mm long, blunt, slightly retuse.
Labellum 14mm, oblong–obovate, decurved about middle, concave, 3-lobed; side lobes oblong, 8 × 2 mm, obtuse; midlobe contracted and coarsely erose-crisped at its base; disc with 2 fleshy lamellae, reddish, along the centre to the end of the lateral lobes.
Column short, with a small foot; anther ovate; Pollinia 1.5 mm, yellow, narrowly oblong, stigmatic surface
